Addiction Search
-- Maintained by Emil Chiauzzi, a clinical psychologist currently working on
multimedia addiction treatment projects, this directory of links is organized
into nine categories: news, the addictions, statistics, populations,
treatment, prevention, social issues, organizations, and harm reduction. Under
subheadings in each category, the Web master provides numerous annotated
links--primarily to government agencies and clearinghouses, higher education
institutions, research centers, and not-for-profit organizations.

Information pages -- Details causes, and treatments of trauma and
provides extensive lists of resources
HealthFinder -- U.S. Department
of Health and Human Services provides government health news and reports
including spotlight on minority health, also includes online journals and
access to health databases.
Mental Health Net -- Research
citations and suggested bibliographies are provided by Phillip W. Long, M.D.
This is not a "peer-reviewed" site so information must be further
evaluated. However, this site is recognized as an important site because of
the vast array of information provided on specific mental disorders.
National Center for PTSD -- Fact
sheets, research and education on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder are
provided by the Center, a program of the U.S. Department of Veterans
Affairs. The PILOTS database ("Published International Literature on
Traumatic Stress") is maintained here.
Social
Welfare Resources -- University at Albany site on Social Welfare
includes excellent sites on Children, Youth and Families, Gerontology,
Mental Health and Therapy, Social Policy, Substance Abuse, Government
